BluePanther iTV5 is a solution for a very simple problem I have been wrestling for a long-long time. This gizmo transforms your tv into an Android based smartphone, which can make all your stuff available as simple as on your phone. And of course it is much more cheaper than buying a new smart tv or an Android tablet for the same function...
I have tried things like this before, but all of them was a big-big failure. So first of all I checked all those defects this time, what I hated the most in those. There is no defect, it has everything I expected.
The most important thing was for me to reach my Google account and sync all my data. It works, so my G-Mail, G-Talk, YouTube and all the Google stuff is online now and sync in background.
From this point life is simple and sunny. You can use your tv for chat, mailing. Of course you will need a good keyboard, but there are many solutions for that. The most simple way is to plug a USB keyboard and use it. This is good for those who use special characters. On Google Play you can buy (clicking here) for 2 dollars the Extended Keyboard Helper Pro and after installing it you can use all your extended characters and remap your keyboard if you want it. And this is yummy...
Or you can buy an AirMouse and use that. This costs 40-50 dollars but your comfort is worth it.

Useit like a lightsaber to move your cursor and click everywhere you want on your tv screen. But it is not easy to get special characters with it.
I mentioned, that earlier I tried Android solutions, but all of them was slow. Not this. Thanks for the 1.2 GHz processor, it is fluent. Please watch this video I made about. It is long, but it shows the most important things. So, there are no big compromises, iTV5 fits in your daily routine. Even your games are o.k. on it and with an AirMouse, you can control all your virtual animals too. On 50-60 inches you will get a different experience...
It was a bit dissappointing for me, that it does not see my network, but with a symple file manager from the Google Play, you can acces your NAS too. And if you do not have an own network at home, put an external USB storage on it and play your multimedia files from that...
We have 3 USB slots. And the reset button you will not need, because this is Android and not Windows...
For those who want use it as a mediaplayer I have good news: it can play all the containers without any problem.
So you may be glad to hear that you can get digital output for the voice too, so you can connect it to your amplifier by SPDIF. For your older tv there is an RCA slot too, as an analog voice and video output. So, if you travel, you can take this little white box with you and it can make your rainy days and boring evenings. All you need is a WIFI in the hotel and you are saved from boredom.
At home the most important function is to substitute your PC or phone. If you have BluePanther iTV5, you do not need to switch on your computer to reach your favorite applications.
And a simple question at the end: for who and for what?
I recommend it for those who mostly use their computers and phones for multimedia solutions, but only for this functions do not want to buy a new computer and/or phone. It can be perfect for your kids too, in their rooms to connect with friends on this and not on your laptop.
